Lunch Cover / Early Years Practitioners

We are looking to recruit three Lunch Cover Early Years Practitioners at each of our Nurseries Dartington, Newton Abbot and Dartmouth.

Responsibilities:

Your principle role will include the supporting children of all ages in their eating, washing and cleaning up following the mealtime. Supervising children’s play whilst staff take their lunch breaks.

More details as follows:

Qualified individuals with a Level 2 or Level 3 are desirable although the possibility for further personal growth and development of skills is available.

Successful applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS checking.

Goals:

Through each of these responsibilities, you should keep in the front of you mind “would I as a child be happy with this environment?” and “would I as a parent be happy to leave my child”.

About you:

You are caring, patient and enthusiastic and genuinely enjoy children’s company. You will ideally have a Level 3/2 Early Years qualification, and have a desire to support and promote the individual children and enable them to achieve their potential. You work well as part of a team and understand the importance of being a team player, are willing to develop an understanding of the company and its ethos.

Hours will be 11.30am to 2.00pm – Monday to Friday

Room Leader

Humpty Dumpty Childcare – Newton Abbot, are looking to recruit a qualified, experienced Room Leader for our 2 – 3 years room.
You will work as part of the management team to provide professional leadership and management to the staff based in the room and to ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.
Our ideal candidate will hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years at Level 3 or above, have experience working in a busy nursery setting with this age group and can lead a team to deliver excellent standards of care and education. This is a full-time position (39 Hours per week), salary £17,238 to £17,745
Room Leader duties will include; • Overseeing the smooth running and high quality early years practice within the room • Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities and to build relationships with children and their families • Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues • Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children and staff at all times.

Early Years worker

 Humpty Dumpty Childcare – Dartington, due to an increase in numbers we are looking to recruit a qualified, experienced Early Years worker to work with our pre-school children. You will work as part of the pre-school team to provide professional care and education for a group of key children.
Our ideal candidate will hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years at Level 3 or above, have experience working in a busy nursery setting with this age group and can deliver excellent standards of care and education.
This is a part-time position (27 Hours per week), salary £10,530 to £11,583
Duties will include; •Supporting the smooth running and high quality early years practice within the room • Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities and to build relationships with children and their families • Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues • Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times

Nursery Staff Part Time and Flexible

Humpty Dumpty Childcare looking for part time and flexible ‘Bank’ Staff to join our team. You will supplement our existing full time team members during holidays, short-notice absence and whenever extra staff are needed.

Duties will include supporting staff, helping with activities and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children.

You must have a keen interest in children’s learning and be able to operate as part of a team. Although for part time positions no qualifications are required, we would prefer you to have a formal Early Years and Childcare recognised qualification.

This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (‘DBS disclosure’). We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children so we require that all of our staff members and volunteers share this commitment.

We currently have vacancies for flexible staff in our nurseries at Dartington, Dartmouth and Newton Abbot.
